I offer clinical supervision for mental health professionals (Counsellors, Social Workers, psychotherapists, psychologists and special education providers). Many supervisees are keen to have specialist supervision with me specifically from an Attachment theory frame of reference.
I have a Certificate in Supervision Skills for Health and Social Service Professionals. My approach to supervision is using a simple framework: WHOA to Go which I encourage supervisees to use as a way of preparing to make the most of our time together:
W=what issues would you like to focus on (eg. A client who may feel ‘stuck’, are there any underlying attachment dynamics that might be at play in client’s stories, some emotional reactivity – transference/countertransference issues that may have surfaced)
H=How have you approached these issues so far?
O=Options: what options do you feel are available or that we can explore together?
A=Action: what insights have you gained that might lead to actions in the future?
