June 2024 Newsletter

Kia ora Friends and Colleagues,

As I write this some huge hailstones are bouncing off my window! Which means that it is time for some winter warmer deals (if you are in the southern hemisphere!). In the wintertime, the theme of hibernation and retreat resonates for me. It is a time to recharge and reflect on the seasons of life gone by as well as what is coming up for us. New possibilities, new areas of growth and new adventures await!

I am delighted to say that there are still some spaces on my next Retreat – In Auckland. All the Day Retreat spaces are full but there are still some Full Residential spaces left. I am extending the Early Bird Pricing until June 14th so that you can jump on these deals. If finance is tight, there are subsidies available so please reach out to request them. It has been a busy season of Professional Development seminars recently. The first one was The Power of Connection: Attachment-Informed approaches to calming anxiety.

Here is what a participant said: “I really enjoyed the calm and kind nature in which Ruth presented – she is an excellent speaker and very very knowledgeable. She inspires me to become a better practitioner and I am so impressed at how much she brings. I would love to go to another of her workshops, I love the way she is so calm in her thought process and the way she speaks!

A big theme I am hearing from many sectors is the growing anxiety or attachment alarm impacting our tamariki/children and rangatahi/teens.

Neufeld Aotearoa News

June 7-8 2024 Neufeld Aotearoa Conference ONLINE

The challenges facing our tamariki/children and rangatahi/youth today can often feel overwhelming. Helping them survive, let alone thrive, in an overwhelming world, may feel too much. How can we, as parents and professionals, become our children’s best bet to help them flourish?

We at Neufeld Aotearoa invite you to attend this two- day online conference to examine this topic from various angles. We are excited to bring some great presenters from both Neufeld Aotearoa and The Neufeld Institute in Canada. Our presenters will offer fresh insight into the key conditions that enable a child to mature, flourish, and bring hope, as they explore some natural and intuitive ways to help children develop.

With your ticket you will get 5 bonus recordings right away so you can start your growth journey today!

It would seem that not only is the topic of anxiety a popular one but also dealing with emotions in therapy. At the beginning of this week, I delivered a 3-hour seminar to the NZ Psychological Society to a Sold-Out crowd of 100 on the topic of

Working with Emotions in Psychological Therapy: A 5-step model

working with emotions
Here is a special deal for those of you who missed the 3 hr. version on Monday – this is the 6-hour online course for those of you wanting a fuller version of the material with more application and depth.
